In addition to traditional therapy, we offer Life Coaching in San Antonio and surrounding areas. This happens face-to-face and online. Therapeutically, we focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT addresses how our beliefs fuel our thoughts, how our thoughts influence what we feel, and in turn how it all influences our behavior. In addition to CBT, Positive Psychology is used to motivate, inspire and bring about change. Positive Psychology is a strengths based approach to change which creates a happier, more optimistic mindset.

Counseling for Trauma
Our therapy is "trauma-informed," meaning there is an understanding of how big and small traumas affect functioning; we offer to counsel for trauma directly as well. We use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to minimize the influence of trauma on current functioning and reprogram unconscious processes that keep people stuck.

Having been involved at every level of substance abuse treatment, from clinical treatment in outpatient settings, Program Direction of an adolescent intensive outpatient center, and Clinical Direction of an adult residential program, we understand the dynamics of substance use and abuse.
